Teaching and Learning Support

BIUST library is committed to positive engagement with students and other library users. This engagement provides the basis of an on-going relationship throughout the student’s time at the University.

Orientation

The relationship between students and library commences with orientation sessions conducted by the   friendly Librarians. The orientation aims   to familiarise new students with the services and physical facilities offered by the library and getting them started with finding resources required for the first few weeks of the semester. During Orientation, librarians attend Orientation sessions to introduce themselves to students and to provide a familiar friendly face in the Library. This introduction includes a short presentation designed to entice students to explore our information discovery services and to join a library tour.
