Kgaswe International School held its primary level graduation and prize giving ceremony recently at their school hall, where they extended an invitation to BIUST Vice Chancellor, Professor Otlogetswe Totolo, to deliver a keynote speech.
Prof Totolo in his keynote speech, congratulated the graduates and commended them on a job well done, noting that 81% of students achieved credit passes (A to C) with 46 A* grades and 8 students scoring 48points at high school. He said that such performance brings pride as it forms foundations in career paths in Science, Technology Engineering, Arts and Mathematics (STEAM) through international universities such as BIUST.
The theme of the event, “Kgaswe – an exceptional school, empowering students to be high performing citizens”, holds a resonance with BIUST’s commitment to academic excellence, which is one of its three fundamental pillars. He mentioned that both Kgaswe and BIUST share a common vision that highlights the significance of fostering strong academic foundations, equipping students with knowledge and skills necessary to excel in their educational and professional quests.
Prof Totolo and everyone who took to the podium showered the graduates with unending compliments and stimulated them to continue working harder in their academia. Parents of the graduates were also shown appreciation for their immense support to their children and were heartened to celebrate every milestone of their children, regardless of the size.
