DR. Howard Kgalemang Sigwele

Dr. Sigwele, a seasoned agricultural and trade economist with over 41 years of experience, is a citizen of Botswana and brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to his new role. He retired from the Botswana Government in 2001 after 25 years of dedicated service in the Ministry of Agriculture. During his tenure, he served as a policy advisor and trade analyst, negotiating several key international trade agreements, including those with SACU, SADC, and the WTO, aimed at enhancing export and import access to secure food and income security for the country. He retired as the Director of Agricultural Planning and Statistics after 12 years in the post.
