The Botswana International University of Science and Technology (BIUST) is committed to contributing towards improving the environmental and social performance of the communities in which it operates.
The Vice Chancellor Professor Otlogetswe Totolo graced United Congregational Church of Southern Africa (UCCSA) Pilikwe to give a keynote address at the Thanksgiving Service under the theme “Enter His gate with thanksgiving”. Professor Totolo noted that biblically, thanksgiving means devotion, sacrifice,
praise, or offering. “As we enter His Gate with Thanksgiving, we enter a personal relationship with the Father to open the door of communication which can bring comfort and peace in our lives”, he said

He encourages the congregation to embrace the spirit of giving, adding that God loves a cheerful giver. Professor Totolo read from the book of 2 Corinthians 9 verse 7 “Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.”

In his closing the ecstatic Vice Chancellor pledged P5000.00 towards the Pilikwe UCCSA Local Church Thanksgiving Service of 2023.
