In order to manage the acclimatization of students to the University, the unit organizes annual Orientation weeks for all new students. The Orientation Week is very important to all new students as it ensures that students are acquainted with all the service providers in the University as well as all the expectations. Students are taken on a physical and virtual tour of campus and introduced to all IT systems and University processes. Amongst other things the unit organizes the orientation to achieve the following objectives;
- Orientates new students
- First Year Experience (Continuous University wide support to new students to manage transition)
- Manage transition
- Welcoming activities
