The University is looking for qualified and experienced individuals for the below-stated position;
The position is based at BIUST Campus, Palapye.
The successful candidate will be appointed on a pensionable or fixed term contract basis.
Main Purpose Of The Job
To deliver teaching of Ecology and Biodiversity and related field. To participate in curriculum development and the advancement of Ecology and Biodiversity. To conduct individual research or work on collaborative projects. To supervise the efforts and performance of Teaching Instructors, Teaching Assistants and Technicians. To supervise undergraduate and postgraduate students’ projects. To source external an internal research funding from national and international donors.
Qualifications
- A PhD in Ecology or equivalent qualification from a recognized Institution
- A higher education teaching qualification or professional recognition (e.g. PG Certificate in teaching or equivalent) an added advantage
Experience
- At least 2 years’ experience in either teaching/lecturing/research or industry experience in the relevant field or discipline is an added advantage
- Good research record of at least 3 publications in Scopus indexed journals or equivalent research output
- Evidence of verification of qualifications from the Botswana Qualifications Authority (BQA).
