As well, they undertake six months internship programme and participate in research programmes.

We believe that we have specialized programmes which are not offered in any of the public or private institutions in Botswana, they are meant to meet the industry needs. Our aim as a university is to ensure that we produce industry ready graduates. We have also been fortunate enough to be aligned to industry players such as the mining, telecommunications, information communications technology and other sectors where we know that the programmes we offer will meet their needs. As such we are ensuring that they have ample supply of skilled force and entrepreneurs. Because of its research emphasis, BIUST works closely with the private sector to meet emerging skills needs of the industry, as well as identifying challenges that can be solved through applied research. The University’s curriculum takes into account the needs of the private sector and is driven by the mission of BIUST to contribute to the development of the economy towards a knowledge-based economy through research.

“Our students are at the centre of the University enterprise, the student’s enrolment plan was develop which details the faculty and programme level on annual basis. The University is committed to providing students with an exceptional learning experience by providing programmes that are consistent in terms of purpose, structure, modes of delivery, which make optimal use of educational technology and address a diverse range of learning styles.
