The BIUST Campus is situated on an expansive and ecologically diverse 2 500 hectares site of gently sloping land in the Tswapong Hills, south east of Palapye. The campus is a phased new construction, with academic facilities, administrative space, recreation space, services, accommodation and staff housing that has been purpose-built to deliver a superior learning and living experience.

The infrastructure has been integrated with the unspoiled terrain by creating themed landscaping and supplementing the structures with parking facilities, extensive sports facilities, road and recreation infrastructure, information technology networks and security.

The completed Phase I of the campus has an administration block made up of four floors. The floors have 90 offices, two (2) conference rooms and a 350 seat auditorium.

The BIUST library boasts of librarian offices, two (2) computer labs and three (3) programme learning based classrooms and a laboratories block for Biology, Geology, Chemistry and Physics.

The campus has an annex building housing a clinic and two (2) doctor offices as well as two (2) nurse offices. The facility also has a triage room for patients. The BIUST campus also has a multipurpose hall and a gym room. The university has a cafeteria with two (2) floors and a holding capacity of 500 persons.

Currently BIUST has on site accommodation for 253 students for a student population of 420. The student housing facility has television rooms, ablution blocks and a laundry area. The university has built 70 staff houses, 18 duplex units and 35 single units.
