Sports & Recreation

The University promotes meaningful participation of the students in sport and recreation through the provision of opportunities to organized sports as well as student led recreational initiatives. The University’s aim is to develop world class sporting and recreational facilities to support the activities of the students. Sports and recreational activities constitute a very important aspect of a University life, considering that students are at an age where they are at the peak of their performance levels. BIUST  supports sports activities at all levels, locally through an affiliation with Botswana Tertiary Students Sports Association (BOTESSA), various national sports federations (NSF’s) and internationally through bodies like African University Sports Federation (FASU), CUCSA and the World University Sports Federation (FISU).
